Does Omega-3 Help Reduce Instances of A-F?

In a study, Nov 30, 2010, Dept. of Molecular Cardiology, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH,  USA, reported that comparative post-operative results for dogs fed Omega-3 for 3 weeks prior to heart surgery  fared much better in a number of instances compared to dogs that did not receive Omega-3 supplementation.    Among the positive results achieved: Dogs fed the Omega-3 had reduced atrial inflammation.

Though people are not the same as dogs, and, though I can't give you any advice on this, since I am not a doctor nor a researcher, this study impressed me enough to make me want to add to my daily lifestyle the taking of Omega-3 supplements...just in case that supplementation might be helpful to people who suffered an incidence of A-F.
