MEAT = SUGAR = Insulin Spikes

Us A-Fibbers need to keep our bodies as healthy and as normalized as possible. Something we often take for granted is our pancreas and its ability to keep insulin levels normalized. A-Fibbers need to help the pancreas to stay healthy.

Well, here's something that was a surprise for me. I was listening to a recent discussion between two researchers and was startled to hear that beef was as damaging to the pancreas as sugar. You would be nuts to chow down on a 1/4 pound of SUGAR. Yet, many people think nothing of chowing down on a 1/4 pounder or 1/4 pound of any meat. The pancreas sees almost no difference between meats or sugar.

So, to help keep your pancreas healthy, and to help manage your insulin levels, you may want to consider staying away from, or at least minimizing, eating meat.

May your pancreas continue to love you.
